Supermarket giant Kroger says it has agreed to buy rival Albertsons in a $24.6 billion deal to create a mega supermarket giant. If the two get regulatory and shareholder approval for the marriage, combined sales would be nearly $210 billion − about $10 billion less than U.S. food sales of the world's largest grocer Walmart.  In a win for those who menstruate, CVS says it's cutting regular-priced CVS Health brand tampons, menstrual pads, liners and cups by 25% across the nation. Maybe this will help bring prices back down to earth after a tampon shortage earlier this year pushed prices sky-high.
