The Daily Money: Becoming a millionaire with only an IRA?

In today's Daily Money, we have insights on SPACs, IRAs, ETF investments and Disneyland. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Good morning, Daily Money crew, it's Nathan celebrating the onset of the weekend!

You know what they say. A dream is a wish your heart makes. ... Disneyland reopens today. (And, yes, I'm not ashamed to say I knew that lyric by heart.)

On to our ...

💡 INSIGHT OF THE DAY: Due to contribution limits, it's tough to become a millionaire by only investing in an IRA. If you contributed the maximum $6,000 annually and earned 7% on average, it would take you 37 years to reach $1 million. Bottom line: An IRA is good to have, but a 401(k) will help you get there faster if your employer offers one.

📰 Here are our top stories:

1. Shaq, Ciara and A-Rod have one. But are SPACs, the latest investment craze, right for you

2. During his speech to Congress, President Biden cited a study claiming that dozens of American companies are paying no income taxes. The top 10 includes companies like Charter Communications, Nike and Salesforce.

3. What if the best investment strategy for you is to buy and hold ... for decades?

4. This just in this morning: Roku is pulling the plug on YouTube TV as its dispute with Google continues. Will they patch things up?

5. Ever seen the "It's Gonna Be May" meme featuring Justin Timberlake? Get ready to. Here's how it happened.

I, for one, am floored that it's almost May. We're already four months removed from 2020. Does it feel like it to you?

The Daily Money: How about a 4th stimulus check?

In today's Daily Money newsletter, we have insights on stimulus checks, Warren Buffett, the Honda Civic and Amazon. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Good morning, Daily Money crew, it's Nathan wishing you a happy Thursday.

I have to admit, I had no idea that you could win a new home on "Wheel of Fortune" these days. But that's not the only thing that happened on Tuesday's episode. Vanna White also got hit in the head with a confetti cannon blast.

Thankfully, she's OK.

On to our ...

💡 INSIGHT OF THE DAY: About half of Warren Buffett's dividend income is coming from three stocks. While Buffett-led Berkshire Hathaway's stocks are pretty diversified, its $2.2 billion in annual dividend income is not so diversified. Half comes from Apple, Bank of America and Coca-Cola.

📰 Here are our top stories:

1. Could a fourth stimulus check be in the works? Some Democrats want one, but you probably shouldn't hold your breath.

2. Is Amazon recommending books on QAnon and white nationalism? Browsing books can lead people down an extremist rabbit hole.

3. It's one of the most popular vehicles in America, but the Honda Civic's sales have been struggling just like other passenger cars. Last night, Honda revealed a redesigned version of the Civic, hoping to draw new interest to the stalwart sedan.

4. When will more "plus-up' stimulus payments arrive? More than 730,000 catch-up stimulus checks have been sent to Americans in the latest batch of payments.

5. President Biden is turbocharging the economy with stimulus. Will he smother it with regulation?

Just remember: No matter what happens to you today, at least you won't get hit in the head with a confetti cannon blast.
