The Daily Money

Tuesday, April 6

Good morning, Daily Money friends, it's Nathan Bomey wishing you a happy Tuesday. If you've still been waiting for a COVID-19 vaccine, your wait may soon be over. President Biden is reportedly set to lower the eligibility age to 16 for all Americans on April 19.

💉 I've been chipping in on our coverage of the vaccine rollout throughout the process, including stories on whether employers will require it and whether companies should offer incentives to workers. I've got another story in the works now , so stay tuned!

On to our ...

💡 INSIGHT OF THE DAY: If you're a law enforcement officer, firefighter, emergency medical technicians (EMT) or teachers, you may be eligible to buy a home in the community where you work at a 50% discount through the federal government's Good Neighbor Next Door Program. Here's how it works.

📰 Here are our top stories:

1. Some couples are at odds during the pandemic, but there might be an easy fix. Check out this cool graphical story by Charisse Jones with lively illustrations by Veronica Bravo.

2. Walgreens had been administering the second dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine four weeks after the first, rather than the recommended three weeks. It's probably not a problem, but the CDC asked the chain to come into line with federal guidance, and it will comply.

3. Started a remote job during the pandemic? It can be tough to ingratiate yourself with your new colleagues. Here are some tips on how to do it.

4. Thinking about claiming Social Security benefits soon? Don't pull the trigger until you can answer these three questions.

5. Are you ready to "get back to what you love"? So I am. Google's latest commercial has generated an emotional response.

Not gonna lie. That ad tugged at my heartstrings when I saw it for the first time last night.

Here's to getting back to what we love soon.
