Good morning! It's Daniel de Visé with your Daily Money.

Jocelyn Boden, 47, managed a Bath & Body Works store in Utah for 3½ years.

In March, she hired a transgender man as a retail associate. During their first shift together, Boden said she twice referred to the employee as "she," in keeping with her faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which teaches that gender is an immutable characteristic of a person's "eternal identity."

Not long after, Boden was fired. She is at the forefront of a growing conflict between religious freedoms and transgender and nonbinary rights in the workplace.

What will Fed Chair Powell say at Jackson Hole?

Inflation was easing, job growth was slowing and the unemployment rate was rising at a pace that traditionally signals recession.

Powell's next Jackson Hole speech is set for Friday. What will he say this time?

Over 400 investors, other founders and members of their network RSVP'ed to hear the eight women pitch their AI, fintech, health care, climate, real estate and social media tech companies with the aim of getting feedback and funding.
