Good morning, happy Monday and welcome to the first business day of 2022, Daily Money readers. Jayme Deerwester back with you after vacation and going slightly overboard on kitchen equipment at various end-of-year sales. I regret nothing – especially not my blue-steel KitchenAid mixer, which I have dubbed Derek Zoolander.

COULD BE WORSE. NOT SURE HOW, BUT IT COULD BE. Disney is at risk of losing control of some of the company's most beloved characters  in 2022. Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet, Kanga and Roo are scheduled to enter the public domain. These iconic stories and characters are woven into the tapestry of Disney's success, delighting generations of fans in the process. But the sun is setting on copyright protection for the earliest of the stories, which first appeared in 1926.

By the way, if you have Disney stock in your retirement portfolio, don't make this mistake.
