Thursday, March 2

It's Thursday, and we're officially over the hump and rolling right into the weekend!

It's Medora, and it's election season again in Chicago! No one won at least 50% of the small turnout, and so we start this all over again with a runoff between the top two candidates . On top of that, about 10 city council jobs are going back to the polls, too. Maybe it's time to upgrade our streaming to cut the commercials for a few weeks, huh?

Local politics aside, everyone's still worried about high costs. Today, we break down the tab of having pets. After initial start-up costs the first year, a  dog can run you between $1,000 to $1,500 annually and up to $10,000 if there's an unexpected illness. A cat will cost you on average $1,149 annually, but they can live more than 17 years. That can add up to a lot of kibble!
