15-year high for credit card delinquencies
|
Roughly 13% of the nation’s credit card balance was at least 90 days delinquent in the first quarter of 2026, according to a report from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. That suggests what one economist calls “increasing vulnerability among a subset of consumers" who are already late in making payments, now getting deeper into debt.

Who wouldn't want to start their day with Dolly Parton? Soon, you'll be able to pour yourself a "cup of ambition." Parton will launch a new "signature coffee brand" named after her iconic and Grammy-winning single. At first, Amaris Encinas reports, the coffee will only be available at the grand opening of Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee.

The full line-up will be available nationwide later this year.

Pushback against 'private authorizations'
|
More than half of requests for either long-term care or rehabilitation were rejected by major private insurance companies that offer Medicare Advantage plans, according to the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Inspector General. Senior advocates and nursing care industry participants say insurers use "prior authorizations" to deny care that many older adults need, leaving families with the bill.
