The Daily Money

Tuesday, August 10

Good morning, it's Nathan saying hi this Tuesday morning.

💉 The push to get America vaccinated is about to enter a new chapter. First, you'll likely see more and more employer mandates if and when the FDA gives the COVID vaccines full approval.

But I also learned about a new possibility in reporting this story: Your employer may slap a surcharge onto your insurance premiums if you refuse to get vaccinated.

In other words, it could cost you $20 to $50 per paycheck to remain unvaccinated

On to our ...

💡 INSIGHT OF THE DAY: Our story yesterday on states and towns offering incentives for remote workers to move there took off. Here's more: a rundown of the various offers out there, including $10,000 from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and $12,000 from Morgantown, West Virginia. That last one comes with free whitewater rafting, rock-climbing and other outdoor activities, valued at $2,500.

⌚ WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Starting Wednesday, we'll be publishing a series of stories on the risks and opportunities for young investors as stocks hit record highs and new assets, like cryptocurrencies, emerge.
