Kroger and Albertsons – two of the largest supermarket chains in the country – are in talks to sell more than 400 stores to C&S Wholesale Grocers as part of their proposed $25 billion merger, according to reports from Bloomberg and Reuters. |

NHTSA pushes for airbag recall |
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration wants to recall 52 million air bag inflators after finding that they can rupture, causing shrapnel to fly and cause injuries. The inflators, manufactured by ARC Automotive Inc. and Delphi Automotive Systems through January 2018, have already killed one person in the United States and injured seven others. |
But ARC Automotive said the agency lacked "sufficient evidence" of a safety defect and that the seven confirmed ruptures that caused injuries were "occasional or isolated failures that are an inevitable part of any volume manufacturing process." |
Twelve automakers incorporated the inflators into vehicles: BMW, Stellantis, Ford, General Motors, Hyundai, Kia, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Tesla, Toyota and Volkswagen. |

Fast food chain Wendy's will be serving up a Pumpkin Spice Frosty with "hints of pumpkin and a blend of warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg" starting Sept. 12. The company will also offer a Pumpkin Spice Frosty Cream Cold Brew for a limited time. |
