Happy Monday! I am Medora Lee, filling in for my colleagues Daniel de Visé and Betty Lin-Fisher, to give you the rundown of the most interesting and pertinent money news today.

After the recent (and maybe scary) slide in software stocks, analysts are debating whether it's now a great time to buy or stay away from them.

Some stock traders fear artificial intelligence will put software companies out of business by rendering their products obsolete. Another narrative suggests software firms have overspent on AI and won't reap sufficient returns on their investments. Check out the debate and see on what side you land.
