Good morning! This is Betty Lin-Fisher filling in today for Daniel de Visé for The Daily Money.

Inflation surged in April as Americans, who are already struggling with affordability, saw prices rise again according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Consumer Price Index.

Prices rose 0.6% from March to April and were up 3.8% from a year ago.

That marks inflation's highest level in nearly three years, reports Rachel Barber.
