Going into the office or other job site isn't just a hassle – at least according to Americans who prefer to work remotely. |
Most employees who came back to work in the office full-time after the pandemic spent an average of $51 a day, according to Owl Lab's 2023 "State of Work" report. The tab includes $14 to commute and $16 for lunch, among other costs. |
Oh, and pet owners shelled out an additional $20 daily on average, presumably for walking, feeding or boarding services. |
As inflation bites, Gen Z tightens belt |
They may not be the penny pinchers of the Great Depression era but they're not far behind. |
Generation Zers have sharply cut their spending in response to high inflation, according to a new Bank of American survey. |
The young adults are cooking at home, spending less on clothing and curtailing grocery purchases. |
All told, Gen Z spending fell more than 2% from May 2022 to May 2023. |
