Happy Friday, Daily Money readers! It's Paul Davidson bringing you today's headlines.

Going into the office or other job site isn't just a hassle – at least according to Americans who prefer to work remotely.

It's also expensive.

Most employees who came back to work in the office full-time after the pandemic spent an average of $51 a day, according to Owl Lab's 2023 "State of Work" report. The tab includes $14 to commute and $16 for lunch, among other costs.

Oh, and pet owners shelled out an additional $20 daily on average, presumably for walking, feeding or boarding services.
